Hi, it's Thursday

Hey y'all:

It's just after 1 a.m. Thursday ... got home after 11 p.m. with a headache and bad cramps, and have been sitting here watching the White Sox game I recorded, trying to get rid of my headache and my cramps ... cramps, gone, headache, still here. I had the headache a good deal of the evening at work, on and off; the cramps started as I headed for home. Nothing some peppermint tea wouldn't cure.

We had an employee meeting, my first since I've been at Monroe. Funny how much different this is from Grand Rapids ... the meeting was so much smaller (well, it's a smaller paper). After the short meeting, where new employees were introduced (me included) and some awards were given out, we were treated to refreshments, then everyone went back to work. Rather informal.

I have a new person sitting next to me ... another former sports writer turned copy editor. He's in my age group, has been out of work for a year. We compared layoffs, aches and pains, etc. He seems nice. Another new person started, too, but she's a young'un ... right out of college.

Well, that's all from me ... whatcha up to? Have a good day ... I'll check back later.

Hey Eileen,
I like you just gotout of work at 1230am but sat in the parking lot talking to my sister forover an hour. So I got home around 2am!!!!!
Nothing much going on here in Florida. It rained on my way into work at 330pm. I had to stop in the Target parking lot to wait till it let up cause It was comming down like a blizzard up north. You couldnt even see the car ahead of you.
Work was crazy busy tonight. Seems like it is a full moon and everyone decided to be sick or stupid!!!!!
Well off to bed. See ya all tomorrow.

Good morning, Eileen, and everyone else on OFF!

I was wide awake at 4 a.m. and haven't begun to get sleepy again so I guess I'm up for the duration!

Eileen, your new situation sounds like it's just working out so well and I'm glad!  I think it's really cool that you and one of your new co-workers have so mu*****ommon.

I don't have anything of interest to talk about, just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone!

Good morning all.  Just woke up.  Feels weird going to bed at an almost normal time.  But we have company in, so I am not working for a few days.

Tonight I am going to the Rangers game.  I get more and more pumped each time I head out there.

Gonna go back to bed, as I have a long day ahead of me.  Renew my car registration.  Then help Oleta transport 8 kids to Burger King.  Go get Niki from the hotel.  Back home to nap.  Then, to the Ballpark.  Come home and watch Big Brother.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hey George:

Sorry your Rangers have had their problems with the A's ... they have pretty good pitching. The Sox had problems with the A's, too ... they always do. Hope today is better.

Our teams are doing pretty good, though. I see Mark Cuban is trying to buy the Rangers now ... hope that doesn't go through. I think it would be better if Ryan got the team.

Gosh, Eileen.... I was on this morning and saw you had only posted 10 minutes before.  Was going to answer you but I just wanted to not think too much and see if I could get back to sleep.

Had a visit with our Annette last night.  Gosh, I love that lady.
Temps are supposed to be over 100 next week for a whole week.. I think topping out at 104.  I need to remember to DRINK water!!

Looking forward to my Galveston weekend with my grandson.  He's pumped and I think I am more than he.  We are going to do the dolphin tour, see the Elissa (sailing ship), and take the Bolivar Ferry over to Bolivar Peninsula.  Then Saturday we are just going to play on the beach with a pail, an umbrella and a chair.  Coming home on Sunday.. it's a 6 hour drive so I'll be a pooped puppy.... and listening to.. I'm sure.. How much farther????

Lovin' Susan's Girlfriend questions...on that one, George is just one of the girls..:)  Brothers can play.

Hope everyone that needs a hug today will take one.  ((((((HUGS))))))

Yeah, Janet, it's going to be 101 here on Saturday ... we were joking at work last night it will be 60 in the CPC (Content Production Center, where I work). They keep that place icy. I have to have a sweater, and since I got rid of the 2X office sweater I had in Grand Rapids, I had to find a jacket to bring into work ... much too nice to have at work where I slobber coffee all over it ****d coffee down here, too hot for regular coffee outside the apartment).

Don't know if I would want to sit on a beach in 100-degree temperatures ... I'm a wuss. I've been having hot flashes lately since I went off my hormones (no insurance, so can't get the drugs that aren't generic). It hasn't been horrible, but not fun either. I signed up for Walgreen's drug club so maybe I can get some of the drugs later.

Every morning I sit at a table full of men and hear sports, sports, politics, hmmm jokes, watch the men watch the women... and I'm just one of the guys.

Good morning Eileen & all. Well it is finally cooling off here. Only in the 70's this week. I know to some of you that is cold. Today more work in the garden & hope to can more beans.

Kids are gone, DH is home. I hope to be back to normal soon, what ever that is.

I was looking at our house on google earth. The pictures on there still have the trees on them. Can't wait until they get new ones. I can't believe how many maples are coming up!
So exciting to me, we have a wood stove so if we live long enough they sure will help. If we don't my son will use them.
Well everyone, have a wonderful day!!!
